If you’re planning to make calls and send SMS, we recommend renting a phone number to transform your eSIM into a full-service SIM card (Internet access+voice messages+SMS).
US +1 virtual numbers are available for rent. Most numbers cost $10 for the first month and $5 for subsequent months.
Birka's initial configuration is a SIM card or eSIM for internet access. There is no subscription fee in this configuration. If you have an active phone number rental service, there is a subscription fee on a monthly basis depending on the rental price.
Yes, you can sharing internet with our classic sims and eSIMs. The service is free, you only pay for the traffic that will be used.
The physical Birka SIM card can be installed in a router and other devices requiring a SIM card to operate.
The top-up minimum is 25 USD.
In case of inactivity for more than 180 days, a monthly fee of $0.99 for account reservation will be charged. When the balance is zero, the SIM card is canceled.
To keep the SIM card active, it is enough to make minimal Internet access through it.
The free Birka app is available via Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

Recommendations for saving mobile traffic on iPhone
1. Limit background activity of applications
- Go to Settings → General → Content Update and disable updates for apps that don't require background activity. As a rule, leaving messengers and banking apps off is enough.
2. Disabling automatic downloads
- In Settings → App Store, disable the Automatic downloads for apps, music, and updates option.
3. Enabling low data consumption mode
- Go to Settings → Cellular → eSIM → Data Saver
4. Limit traffic usage by applications
- In Settings → Cellular→Cellular, view the list of applications that use the mobile internet and disable access for those you don't need.
5. Using mobile internet instead of Wi-Fi
- Disable Wi-Fi Help in Settings → Cellular to prevent automatic switching to a mobile network when Wi-Fi is weak.
1. Enable the traffic saving mode
- Go to Settings → Connections → Data usage → Data saving.
- Activate the option to limit the use of background traffic by applications.
2. Limit the background activity of applications
- Go to Settings → Applications.
- Select an application that consumes a lot of traffic and disable background data usage.
3. Monitor data usage by applications
- In Settings → Connections → Data usage, view traffic statistics by application.
- If necessary, restrict access to mobile data for certain applications.
To check whether your smartphone supports eSIMs, you need to access its “eSIM IMEI” number.

If “IMEI (eSIM)” is accessible, then your device does support eSIMs.

Delivery methods / terms:

1. To order a Birka SIM card, select your preferred card type at birka.uk. Click on the card icon.
2. Select the number of cards and enter email address. Make sure that you’ve clicked the icon to accept the user agreement terms. Click “Next.”
3. Enter the delivery address and delivery type (choose one of the options available for your address). Enter customer name, phone number, and email address. Click “Next.”
4. Please check your order. If you have a promo code please enter it. Click “Next”.
5. Please choose your country of residence. Click “Pay”.
6. Proceed to payment processing. You can pay via Google Pay or by bank card.
All Birka-related payment operations are proceeded by Stripe.
7. Congratulations! You’ve successfully ordered your Birka SIM card!

Please don't delete the your eSIM after installation.

3. Choose "Use QR code".
4. Scan the QR code with the smartphone camera.
If you’re reading the eSIM order letter on your smartphone, then go to the lower part of the screen, click "Enter data manually" and enter the following data:

5. Click "Continue". Activation may take several minutes.
6. The smartphone will prompt you to complete the activation in the background. Click "Continue".
If you receive an installation error "You can try again or contact your carrier", please check for an eSIM in Settings / Mobile Data. The error is due to the fact that the phone may not register on the network. After completing the settings, the connection will appear.

3) Select a number from the available list and click the "Rent a number" button. You can search by digits or rent a random number;
4) Confirm service activation;

At the end of the trip, do not remove the eSIM.
